Mascarons of Monaco: Musée Océanographique de Monaco

We took a day-trip from Nice to Monaco in January. That's where I found this bizarre mascaron at the entry of the Musée Océanographique de Monaco (1910). It's a bit of green man, a bit of fish, a bit of mutant Kermit the Frog, and definitely one of my favorites.

The A in the crest stands for Albert, as in Prince Albert I of Monaco, the museum's founder.
